How hard is it to read anymore?
Honestly, it's not difficult to tap the description and read the key points to this WIDGET. Not an app, and will not magically make your phone capable of making it a wifi hotspot if it wasn't capable of it in the first place. If you don't have the tethering plan either it may bring you to the provider site to sign up for it. Understand what you're getting with this before you download and complain.Works perfectly and does exactly what the description says, so I'm not sure why people decide rating this 1 star because "it won't open" or won't turn their phones into a new wireless router.I uninstalled it nonetheless only because it didn't bother me to turn on the hotspot through the settings, I don't use it often enough to justify keeping it. But I figured it would be fair to commend the developer, considering many people gave poor ratings for their inability to operate their phones right and it's not the dev's fault.

No velcro!
Highly recommended.What I love most about this tether (besides the incredibly low price) is that it doesn't use velcro!I bought this tether for the sole purpose to use on a trip with layovers at busy airports. My 2.5 year old knows how to undo velcro so that wasn't an option.This tether uses the same kind of mechanism you see on backpack straps (not sure what those are called)So once it is around your child's wrist, just tighten it and that's it! The other side has a loop that you can attach to a stroller, backpack, or your wrist. The strap itself is about 3 feet long.

Learning to stay close
I have a 23 mth old boy and a 3 mth old baby girl. My son wants to be a big boy and walk instead of sitting in the stroller and my lil girl can be fussy a bit. My son is still learning how to stay close when he's out and about and this added a bit of comfort knowing if for some reason my attention gets diverted for a moment, he's still safe. We went to a crowded area the other day and it worked wonders. He seems like he doesn't mind wearing it. He doesn't try to pull it off, but we don't wear if for an extended period of time. I loop it around his wrist and other side on my wrist. I feel it's a great alternative to a harness. He can feel a little in control seeing mommy attached the same way & can see how far and where he can go. Can easily attach to a small backpack you may already own or a backpack that doesn't have a strap already. Small and easy to pack up in the diaper bag as well when not in use too. Highly recommended.

nothing fancy, does the job.
this is literally just strap, with a loop on each end; one being adjustable. i bought to keep my 2.5 year old close in the airport, and it did just the job. he hardly rides in the stroller any more, is too big for the back pack and it's a struggle to get him to hold my hand all the way across the street sometimes. it was just me and him for our trip and i was carrying the luggage so i looped one end of the tether around my wrist and tightened the adjustable end around his and i had peace of mind. you could just as easily loop it to your child's backpack or belt loop or if you have a stroller, loop your end to the handle...i strongly prefer this tether to those harnesses. those are just pretty much dog leashes, this feels more like holding hands... it's just a little extra security in a busy area. plus, you can't beat the under $5 price!

Best App Out There!
Not long ago I downloaded the free version of EasyTether and took it for a test drive. Simply put, this app is excellent. It's simple to install and simple to use. Adding the EasyTether driver to your PC is equally simple. Three minutes after I installed this app I was up and running. I'm using this app as my notebook's internet connection to submit this review. I found this app at half price on the Amazon App Store today so I went ahead and paid for the full version (which allows access to the whole internet, including 'https://' secure URLs).As a utility app like this should, it stays unobtrusively in the background. To use, simply plug your phone into a USB port on your notebook or PC, start the EasyTether app, select 'USB - Enable to allow USB tethering', and then start the PC-side driver program (I keep that program in my system tray for easy, instant access. I right click on the tray icon, select "Connect via Droid X", and off I go!).The one area people...

Just Works
I've been using EasyTether for over a year now. Even after 2.1 come out which allowed you to tether, because with Verizon you have pay a monthly fee to use the built in tethering.For those who say you're stupid to use this because you can just root your phone... that might be fine for you, but some of us don't want to recommend to a family\friend who might not be that tech savvy that they root their phone simply to be able to tether. To me, $10 is worth the hassle to NOT have to root your phone.

Works great with HTC Evo 4g
I have this running on my HTC Evo 4g and after the last update the connection is rock solid and stable to my PC. You keep your phone connected using your USB cable. On my Sprint connection I'm even able to play World of Warcraft and Guild Wars on 3g! It's totally worth the price not having to root your phone to be able to tether it. This works as advertised!

Customizable stemware dishwasher holder? Yes Please!
This is a very awesome unique product for those of us who have various size stemware and want to protect them in our dishwasher, unlike other stemware products this product you can bend to fit to your specific stemware size for the optimal fit. Tether fits on your current dishwasher prongs and then has a clip that clips to stemware to hold it and prevent it from bouncing around in the dishwasher. It can be a bit difficult to clip Tether on the stemware so be careful but it's great at doing what it's meant to do.

Excellent Solution
I got these because my wine glasses are too tall for the top rack of my dishwasher. I use them on the bottom rack instead and they work well. I was a little worried putting fragile glass next to a pot or plates at first but they keep my tall glasses securely gripped and don't move around at all. At first they are a little difficult to bend and get into the right position (they come straight not in the bent shape pictured) but start to ease up after a few uses. I'd recommend them to anyone who doesn't have a built in stemware holder in their dishwasher or if their glasses are also too tall for the top rack.

Sippy cup saver
We have had this strap for several months and love it. We use it to attach my sons cups to everything- stroller, high chair, car seat, etc. It keeps us from having to clean the cups off every few minutes when he tosses it overboard. We use it for our Playtex sippy cups and straw cups and it seems to work just fine. We attach the other side to either his buckle or whatever is available. I don't leave the house without it! We also own the version to hold on to a pacifier and use it to keep toys in the stroller too.

Awesome invention!
Bought this because my 14 month old LOVED to toss cups and such overboard while shopping, and we would often lose items due to her "game." Now we strap the juice or snack cup to her stroller or the shopping cart, and we don't worry about losing it! And, it's an even better "game" for her now because she can throw something over, and then retrieve it herself!
